WITHOUT TRAILS, WHAT WOULD WE ALL DO?
Founded in 1988, the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) has worked to promote mountain biking throughout the world. Through advocacy, trail building and education, IMBA continues to work with government agencies, local municipalities and local bike clubs to make sure mountain bikers are not only part of the conversation but also involved with planning, building and maintenance.
When Chris Sugai founded Niner Bikes he knew the company somehow had to be involved with trails, and as a long time, personal member of IMBA, understood the value of their mission. Niner has supported IMBA since day one. In 2008, in an effort to increase their support, Niner offered the first, specially designed Niner MCR as its limited edition IMBA bike. The IMBA MCR was auctioned off and all proceeds went to IMBA.
Over the past 9 years, and several other tricked out IMBA bikes, Niner has donated over $200,000 to IMBA’s programs.
This year, to mix things up and encourage more participation, Niner and IMBA have chosen to hold a giveaway for this year’s bike – Niner’s recently redesigned short travel trail bike, the JET 9 RDO.
For a $10 donation you can enter to win a complete 5-star bike or a frame. For each additional $10 donation, you receive an entry.
Want to do more? You can also become a member and be entered to win. The giveaway begins at the Sea Otter Classic. and ends May 5th. You don’t want to miss out. Why not enter today?
